What is family therapy?
Family Therapy involves the inclusion of all family members; or in some instances those who are able and willing to participate.
In family therapy, the objective is to foster healthy family dynamics and resolve conflicts. This can be achieved by helping you and your family members understand one another better; and learning coping skills to bring you closer together.
Is family therapy right for us?
Family Therapy can be useful in cases where a family has been affected by a significant event and members of that family are experiencing significant stress, grief, anger or conflict. Family therapy can help in instances were family members have a relative with serious mental health issues. The objective in such cases might be to help relatives process and cope more effectively with their difficult circumstances. Family therapy can also help in instances where there is suicide bereavement and complicated grief.
